Born the son of a photographer, Dutch-born Rob Marinissen has devoted his life and career to photography.
He started his career in the 'Golden Era of the Music Industry' working with celebrities, such as Lenny Kravitz, Mark Hollis, 10,000 Maniacs, Jon Bon Jovi, Duran Duran, David Sylvian, Pearl Jam and Philip Glass for magazines and recording companies.
In the late 80's Marinissen became an early digital pioneer, adopting CGI and digital technologies as new photography tools.
After an active career as photographer Marinissen started expanding his horizons working at the KABK Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague where he held a position as Head of the Department of Photography. He opened a CGI and post-production studio, owned a talent agency, was board member of photographers organisations and worked for advertising agencies and brands as photographer, film director, senior film, photography & digital producer and creative director. Rob Marinissen has lived and worked in Amsterdam, London, New York, Dubai and Moscow. His work has been awarded with international awards.
