Award-winning photographer at ArtRoof
Dutch-born photographer Rob Marinissen kicks off a series of lectures in Moscow about photography titled 'Marinissen on Photography' on Sunday 17 December 12:00 in Igor Raevitch's Creative Workshop Studio at Art Roof (M. Dmitrovskaya).
During his graduation year at the School of Photography in The Hague (The Netherlands) Rob Marinissen developed a composition theory with one goal, creating images with maximum impact. He put his theory into practise, graduated cum laude and won 2 awards with his graduation work. Within a year he photographed numerous rock celebrities (Lenny Kravitz, Bon Jovi, Fleetwood Mac, Pearl Jam) and received the ‘Music Photographer of the Year’ award during the international Diamond Award Festival in Antwerp. This was the start of an international career that took him to London, New York, San Fransisco, Moscow and Dubai.
After a decade of work in the rock ’n roll industry Marinissen broadened his horizons and became Head of the Department of Photography at the KABK Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague, opened a post-production studio, a talent agency in Amsterdam and a creative studio in Dubai. Marinissen has been photographer, creative director, lecturer, producer, talent coach, entrepeneur and a pioneer in digital imaging and computer generated imagery.
This lecture for photography, art and design lovers is an overview of the extensive career and portfolio of Rob Marinissen in understandable English and an introduction to follow-up lectures.
